The cost of a bearing isn't just what you pay for the replacement. It's every intervention you don't have to make. This calculator provides an illustrative steady-state lifecycle model and does not predict the exact service life or failure point of any individual bearing or wheel end. The default Current service life is 300,000 miles. The COE scenario models a 50% increase in service life assuming required inspection, lubricant service and maintenance practices are performed as specified. Replacement events are modeled using a $500 pre-adjusted hub assembly, 120 minutes of service labor, 24 hours of asset downtime and a 20% unplanned intervention rate unless adjusted by the user. Downtime is shown as an operational metric and is not assigned a monetary value. Expected intervention counts may be fractional because results represent fleet-level lifecycle averages. Actual service life, costs and results will vary by duty cycle, operating environment, maintenance practices, component condition and application.
