PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
If you're still running passive hub caps, you're leaving your wheel-ends under-protected. The Xtractor® XTR-8058 is engineered for the demands of TP trailer axles. Like all Xtractor models, it features a multistage magnetic oil filter that pulls wear-inducing particulates from oil circulation, extending the life of bearings and seals and improving over the road efficiency.
Tech Specs:
- Axle Position: Trailer - TP (Parallel Spindle)
- Number of Bolt Holes: 6
- Bolt Circle Diameter: 6.750 in
- Flange Outer Diameter: 7.500 in
- Cross Reference: Stemco 4195, SKF 1696, 1796, 1799, 1869, National 340-195
In The Box:
- One (1) XTR-8058 Hub Cap Assembly
- One (1) Premium Flange Gasket
- Six (6) 5/16" x 3/4" Flange Bolts
Other hub caps seal contaminants in. The Xtractor filters them out.
Multistage Oil Filtration
The Xtractor is the only heavy-duty hub cap that actively filters hub oil to remove wear-inducing hard particulates. Cleaner oil = less friction, less heat, and better fuel economy.
HexThread Cartridge
The HexThread® Cartridge provides easy
front access so you can perform better inspections, drain and refill oil, or replace damaged components without having to
remove or replace the entire hub cap.
Easily remove and inspect the filter for trapped wear metals or sludgy debris.
A BETTER BUILT HUB CAP
Military Grade Materials
Tested to MIL-STD-810F, The Xtractor's military grade construction delivers unmatched strength, heat resistance, heat dissipation, and sealing performance.
UV-Stabilized Sight Glass
The UV-stabilized, high-heat polycarbonate sight glass delivers exceptional clarity, impact resistance, and thermal stability at any temperature.
Pressure Venting Plug
A high-performance, rubber plug functions as both a vent and fill port. It's designed to withstand the rigors of heavy-duty operation without cracking or leaking.

WHAT USERS ARE SAYING
When I was filling up, I saw that my oil was really black so I drained and refilled it with new oil before I even finished filling my tank. That's not something you can do with any other hub cap.

I've never seen another hub cap built this well. It is easy to install and the filter is a really smart way to remove contamination that wears on bearings.
Vlad K.
Mobile Diesel Mechanic based in North Carolina
I was skeptical at first, but once I opened the cartridge and saw how full of gunk the filter was, I was sold. Won't ever use a different hub cap on my equipment.

Why does hub oil need to be filtered?
Over time bearings and seals wear, which increases friction and elevates operating temperature inside the wheel-end system. These conditions accelerate parts wear and decrease fuel efficiency. Filtering hub oil breaks this deterioration cycle and improves system performance.
Isn't a magnetic plug enough?
Magnets capture ferrous particles, but much of the contaminant load in a hub is not magnetic. The multistage filter in The Xtractor captures both magnetic and non-magnetic particles.
How often should I check my oil?
Installed on an existing hub, you should perform your first visual check of your hub oil and filter after 25K-30K miles. Thereafter every 60K-75K miles is sufficient. Your own operating conditions will ultimately dictate inspection frequency.
How do I know if the filter needs changing?
When a visual inspection of the filter reveals wear metals stuck to the magnets and/or a sludgy slurry accumulating inside the mesh, oil should be drained and the filter should be cleaned or replaced.
How do I change the filter?
If the filter is clogged simply replace the entire HexThread Cartridge. It comes fully assembled with a brand new sight glass, plug, and filter.
