  • Referencia cruzada: Stemco 4195, SKF 1696, 1796, 1799, 1869, National 340-195

Benefits you can expect

Longer Lasting Parts

A hubcap that's built better and does more to safeguard your bearings and seals.

Lower Cost of Operation

Reduces friction and wear, better preserving fuel economy and critical axle-parts life.

FASTER, EASIER SERVICE

A hubcap that can be serviced in minutes, rather than uninstalled or wholly replaced.

Durability in Tough Conditions

Forget thin-walled parts that crack and fail, Xtractor hub caps are tested to MIL-STD 810F for extreme-condition durability.

Pressure Venting Plug

A high-performance, rubber plug functions as both a vent and fill port. It's designed to withstand the rigors of heavy-duty operation without cracking or leaking.

Xtractor vs. Other Hub Caps

Filtration vs. Containment

The Xtractor actively improves wheel-end performance while other hubcaps are simply passive covers.

Serviceable vs. Disposable

Designed to be opened, maintained, and put back into service, not thrown away and outright replaced.

ROI vs. Expense

Generates measurable returns through extended parts life and improved fuel efficiency. Others are just an expense.

WHAT USERS ARE SAYING

Faqs

Why does hub oil need to be filtered?

Over time bearings and seals wear, which increases friction and elevates operating temperature inside the wheel-end system. These conditions accelerate parts wear and decrease fuel efficiency. Filtering hub oil breaks this deterioration cycle and improves system performance.

Isn't a magnetic plug enough?

Magnets capture ferrous particles, but much of the contaminant load in a hub is not magnetic. The multistage filter in The Xtractor captures both magnetic and non-magnetic particles.

How often should I check my oil?

Installed on an existing hub, you should perform your first visual check of your hub oil and filter after 25K-30K miles. Thereafter every 60K-75K miles is sufficient. Your own operating conditions will ultimately dictate inspection frequency.

How do I know if the filter needs changing?

When a visual inspection of the filter reveals wear metals stuck to the magnets and/or a sludgy slurry accumulating inside the mesh, oil should be drained and the filter should be cleaned or replaced.

How do I change the filter?

If the filter is clogged simply replace the entire HexThread Cartridge. It comes fully assembled with a brand new sight glass, plug, and filter.
